This is very new and very awesome to my world. Oats kheer hasn’t been my part of food life till now. It’s so simple and so, so sweetly good with 3 royal ingredients like oats, sugar and milk. But you know, oats wasn’t a regular one to be in my pantry earlier, do you remember masala oats recipe with which all the oats thing have started in my life?
When you crave for something sweet in lunch and have only little time to spend in the kitchen then this awesome oats kheer can fill in the gap. Oats is super fast to cook and doubles up in volume after few minutes on stove top, meaning you will find kheer in the form of thick, porridge consistency as you simmer it.
Sauteing oats in ghee initially ensures it is totally crisp and fragrant without any raw smell over-powering. Following which oats gets cooked in enough milk and with sugar addition it is simmered to perfection.
