Within a short span of time if you want to devour delicious and aromatic laddu, then try this wheat flour laddu. It’s soft, melt in mouth texture and amazingly aromatic. The laddu doesn’t even call for fancy ingredients and equipment, with whatever you have in your pantry you can make them. Sounds easy. I guess you all stock wheat flour any way. Sugar and ghee are day to day groceries. So you have all of them. Let’s start.
The sugar needs to be powdered initially. If you have ready made sugar powder, then you can use it directly. Next step is to roast the wheat flour with constant stirring. This is very important step to be carried out carefully. Because you need to ensure even roasting and it shouldn’t burn the bottom. As ghee is added to roast the wheat flour, the flour turns golden brown. It slowly gets color and wafts out nice aroma. Also it kind of oozes ghee. Just switch off and let it cool.
Finally mix with sugar powder and nuts of your choice and shape laddos. I have added only raisins because wheat flour laddu tastes good with raisins alone. Yummy goodness for the kids in just 20 minutes. Just like besan laddu, isn’t it?
