Today it’s a breakfast recipe for those of you who like to have South Indian kind of food. Yes it’s a DOSA. Dosa or “Dose” however you call it, it’s such a fulfilling food and I can live eating only this my entire life. Crazy isn’t it? Yes. Idli and Dosa are two such foods which are very close to my heart and soul and if they are available, I can live in any part of the world without any complaint. They are the comfort food for any South Indian for that matter.
Having said that, today I have brought a Dosa prepared out of PEEL or to be specific RIND!! Yes, it’s a WATERMELON RIND DOSA where I am using the white part of Watermelon to prepare a batter and make dosa. The reason why I love this “Dose” is because of it’s texture. It’s insanely soft, spongy or cotton like. I would say it just melts in your mouth. As you pour the batter on griddle, the holes get to form on top and it gets nice brown color at the back. It’s irresistible to hop on to it and eat right away.
So, in this season of Watermelon, do try this recipe and let me know in comments how you liked it. Check the video:
