Sev Puri Chaat Recipe

December 17, 2018

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

As the cozy winter weather has taken over UAE, I am all set to make a batch of chaat for my family. You know me well, I am a horrible chaat lover and every one else in the home too. So as the winter breeze soaks up all the evenings, I normally crave for something spicy, crunchy, snack. If it happens to be chaat, then my happiness would have no bounds. So with a perfect and mouth watering chaat in mind, I made a batch of puris (golgappa) the previous day. It was sev puri which I whipped up today with heaps of nylon sev and dripping sweet chutneys all over.

sev puri

Home made chaat takes up much of your time. Because it needs hundreds of things to whip up a plateful of chaat. The puri, two kinds of chutneys, sev, veggies and the list goes on. But surprisingly, I prepared green chutney,  dates and tamarind sweet chutney and sev together on a single day. I agree, it was bit hectic. But when we all sat together with our plate of sev puri in hand, it was all smile and happiness.

Sev puri is actually puri filled with cooked potato, chaat masala, onions, tomatoes, chutneys and lots of nylon sev. We can make with some healthy fillings too. Like cooked chickpeas, green gram and seeds pomegranate. All these toppings just appeal our senses to grab and fill our mouth. Isn’t it?
