This post of green chutney for chaat is kind of extension of previous post puri for chaat. Without the burning hot green chutney and dates tamarind sweet chutney, perfect chaat is just impossible. So lets get ready with the basic, must-have things to prepare an authentic and chat-pata chaat of your choice.
Green chutney is an ultimate sauce that can make your snack time drool-worthy as it pairs well with hundred other snacks other than chaat. Samosa, tikki and cutlets seem to be double tasty when paired with this. So lets have a jar full of such green goodness in refrigerator and top all our beloved snacks with this sauce yummy-ness.
Green chutney for chaat recipe is simple yet surprisingly tricky some times. It is because of the MINT leaves. The oils inherently present in these leaves turn bitter if you happen to grind the chutney for long in an electric grinder. In order to compensate bitterness of MINT, we usually combine coriander leaves and squeeze lemon over it. This technique considerably overcomes the said problem.
You can even use some chat masala powder or black salt for a taste twist of green chutney. The lovely color and creaminess of chutney always pleasantly takes me to the Winter season right away. How about you??
