Deepawali – The festival of divine light has just been concluded and we still are in it’s hangover. After a heavy feast with snacks and sweets, it’s pretty obvious that one would look for something simple like rasam rice , curd rice, lemon rice or mango rice. Today I was not in a mood to prepare an elaborated lunch, so decided to make just mango rice and curd rice. Some raw mangoes were lying in my fridge, just wanted to get rid of them too!!! Though it’s not the mango season, we still get mangoes here in UAE. Let me brief you about how to prepare mango rice in Udupi style.
