It is this time of the year when drinks seem to be more of choice than food. The cold water, cold drinks become comfort giving and soul soothing than any other food. Yes, it’s the season of heat SUMMER. As you sip the cold beverage, it feels like energy is being transmitted through each cell of the body. Among all, the simplest cold drink is nimbu sharbat which has plenty of vitamin C and it takes no less than 5 minutes to whip up. Though it’s a most common and known recipe, I tried to make the same in 3 different flavors. Mint and ginger are actually taste enhancers in this recipe.
When my son was a toddler, I used to prepare nimbu sharbat every day, twice a day and sometimes even more. Because he is a very big fan of lemon sharbat. He used to demand the juice at random hours of the day like before going to bed or immediately after lunch. Now as a primary schooler, he knows how to make nimbu sharbat himself.
Here, I tried giving some more healthy inputs to nimbu sharbat. Like chia seeds. These tiny seeds are popular as body coolants. Soaking and using those bloomed seeds in most of the drinks is my habit now. The mint juice and ginger juice take the sharbat to another level giving you the feeling of refresh-ness for sure.
