Panakam on Rama Navami. 🙂
We are quite at a point where devouring a good glass ful of panakam along with crunchy moong dal salad and super spiced butter milk is going to be all day business. This weekend 28th March is RamaNavami and it’s a day of fluids like panakam and buttermilk.
This summer festival is so thoughtful and realistic with weather where lots of fluid intake is suggested to keep self-dehydration intact. One of my favourite way to increase fluid in take is preparing plenty of juice of any kind. From simple lemonade, panakam, fruit juice to chilled lassi – comforts me in summer. I am feeling the healthy glow just in time right now.
Panakam prepared on Rama Navami is sweetened with jaggery, spiced with pepper, dry ginger powder and flavored with cardamom. Lemon is squeezed in to the fluid to give enough kick of tanginess. An absolute must have drink on Rama Navami is good to go now.
