Ingredients

  • Sesame seeds black- 2 teaspoon
  • Fresh grated coconut- 4 to 5 teaspoon
  • Salt- 3/4 to 1 teaspoon
  • Whisked curds- 1 cup
  • Red chilly- 1 no.

Seasoning ingredients

  • Coconut oil- 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Split black gram- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Broken red chilly- 1 no.

Instructions

Method

  • Dry roast the sesame seeds till they splutter.
  • Grind roasted sesame seeds, grated coconut, salt and red chilly in to fine paste adding required amount of water.
  • Mix the ground paste with whisked curds. The consistency should be thinner than chutney, so add water if needed.
  • Heat a seasoning pan adding oil, mustard seeds, broken red chilly and split black gram. When the mustard seeds splutter add the seasoning to sesame tambli.
  • Sesame tambli is ready to be served with hot rice. Love this tambli a lot. Hope you too love it....

Note:

  • You can substitute red chilly with green chilly.
  • Use fresh curds for these tamblis. Do not use sour one.
