RICE FRITTERS | CRISPY SNACK
Rice fritters are very crispy and stay crispy for long. This snack is simple to make and has long shelf life.

- 1 cup Rice flour
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp curry leaves chopped
- 1 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (hing)
- 2 cups Oil for deep fry
Heat a pan adding water, cumin, salt and oil. Bring it to boil. Include a cup of rice flour and let boil for a minute. Put off flame and mix well.
When it is still warm, knead a stiff dough. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes. Next add red chilly powder, curry leaves and asafoetida. Knead again.
Divide the dough in to 30 equal parts. Roll a ball in to flat disc and mark circular shape using cookie cutter or lid. Keep the balls covered till rolling is finished.
Deep fry the fritters till golden brown.
Crispy rice fritters are ready to munch all the day.
- Keep the dough and balls covered to avoid getting dried up.
- You can add some mint leaves and spices to enhance taste.
