Chop mango in to medium sized pieces. Grind mango pieces, mustard seeds, green chillies, grated coconut and salt coarsely adding minimum water.
Transfer this to a bowl, saasmi is almost ready.
Now heat seasoning pan adding oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, broken red chilly and curry leaves. When mustard seeds splutter, add this to the raw mango saasmi/Kukku saasmi. Serve it with hot
rice.
Note:
You can replace green chilly by red chilly.
If mango tastes too tangy, then add only half of mango. Otherwise mango saasmi may become too sour.
