In a bowl take gram flour, asafoetida, turmeric powder, carom seeds. Give a quick mix.
Adding water in steps, little by little make stiff dough. Fill the dough in to the kara sev press.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom wok/kadai, when it gets rightly heated press kara sev directly in to oil. When bubbling sound seizes, remove from oil and drain off excess oil.
Heat a pan with oil and peanuts. Saute for few minutes. Add in curry leaves, turmeric powder, salt, and red chilly powder. Saute till the spices mix up. Switch off.
Next add roasted gram, cashews, broken kara sev and corn flakes. Mix thouroughly.
Corn flakes mixture is ready to serve as Diwali snack.
