- 1 tbsp Fine rava (semolina)
- 2.5 cups Milk
- 1/8 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 1 tbsp Cashews
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
Take 1/2 tbsp of ghee in a pan and heat it in medium flame. When it melts, include raisins followed by cashews. Roast them for few seconds and keep aside till use.
Next add remaining ghee and roast rava with constant stirring. It may take few minutes. When the rava becomes aromatic transfer it. Next add milk and bring it to boil.
When the milk boils for few minutes, then include roasted rava to it. Let it cook for few minutes.
Milk thickens and reduces, then include sugar. Let it dissolve completely. Finally add cardamom powder and garnish with roasted raisins and cashews.
Delicious rava kheer is ready to serve.
- Do not reduce the milk quantity. Though it seems watery initially, kheer turns thick after some time.
- Let the milk boil for few minutes and thicken. It makes the kheer delicious.
- You can use other nuts like pistachio as per your taste.
