Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Finger millet flour Ragi flour
  • 2 cup Water
  • 3 tsp Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Nuts optional
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  • In a bowl add ragi flour and 1/2 cup water. Mix well such that there are no lumps. Keep aside

  • Next, heat 1.5 cups of water and bring it to boil. When it is boiling, slowly include ragi flour mix. Keep stirring while adding.

  • Cook in medium flame. It's texture changes to glossy. Now add jaggery, milk and cardamom powder.

  • Mix well and as it starts boiling, switch off flame.

  • Ragi Malt is a healthy, filling beverage. Serve hot with some nuts topped. A healthy food to start your day.

Notes

  • When adding ragi mixture to boiling water, keep stirring. Otherwise it forms lumps.
  • Adjust jaggery as per your taste.
  • It thickens with time, so serve hot.
