Masala Tea | Badam Tea | How to make Tea in 2 Ways
Masala tea is a quite refreshing beverage with the flavors of ginger and cardamom. Badam tea has nourishing almond goodness in it.

For Masala Tea
- 1.5 cups Water
- 3 tsp Tea powder
- 4 tsp Sugar
- 1.5 cups Milk
- 1 tbsp Grated ginger
- 2 nos. Cardamom
- 1/2 inch piece Cinnamon
For Badam Tea
- 1 tbsp Almond (badam)
- 1.5 cup Milk
- 1.5 cup Water
- 3 tsp Tea powder
- 4 tsp Sugar
- 2 nos. Cardamom (crushed)
Masala tea preparation
In a saucepan, heat water. Add tea powder and sugar to it. Let it boil.
Then include milk and bring it to rolling boil. Add grated ginger.
Next add cardamom and cinnamon piece. Stir once and let it boil. Strain masala tea and serve with biscuits.
Badam tea preparation
Take almonds in a mixer and powder it finely.
Next in a sauce pan heat milk. As it boild, include powdered almond. Stir and boil it for a minute in simmer.
Next heat water in a separate sauce pan. Add tea powder, sugar and crushed cardamom to it. Bring it to rolling boil.
Strain badam milk (prepared in above step) in to it. Now boil badam milk in tea mixture for a minute and strain.
Serve badam flavored badam tea with biscuits.
- I use milk and water in 1:1 ratio. If you are not using full fat milk, reduce water and increase milk.
- Grated ginger and cardamom add unique flavor to masala tea. You can even add some pepper corns.
- You can add ginger to badam tea as well.
