Rava Idli Mix | Instant Rava Idli Mix
This home made rava idli mix is very handy for all home makers and working women to whip up breakfast instantly. In 10-15 minutes of time, you can make 12 idli.

- 3 cups Rava (Semolina)
- 1 tbsp Cooking oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tso White lentils
- 1.5 tsp Chickpea lentils
- Few Curry leaves
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 3 tsp Salt
- 1.5 tsp Baking soda
To make rava idli
- 1 cup Rava idli mix
- 1.5 cup Whisked yogurt
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
Heat a pan adding oil, mustard seeds, lentils and curry leaves. Saute till they splutter. Then add rava and roast for 5 minutes in medium flame.
Then add turmeric powder, mix well and Let it cool down completely.
Next add salt and baking soda. Mix well and store this ready mix in an airtight container.
To make rava idli, add a cup of rava idli mix to a bowl.
Include whisked yogurt and chopped coriander leaves. Add some water and adjust consistency if needed.
Grease oil to idli plate and pour the ready batter to idli plate. And place the plates in idli steamer.
Steam cook for 10-15 minutes. Check for done-ness and remove rava idli from the plate.
Soft and spongy rava idli is ready.
Roast the rava in tempering for 5 minutes in medium flame only. Do not burn.
Before adding baking soda, make sure it is cooled down completely.
You can store this rava idli mix for a month too.
