Cook the chayote chunks with a cup of water and turmeric powder until the pieces turn tender and soft. Mean while in a mixer add grated coconut, raw rice, green chillies and grind them together to fine paste.
When chayote pieces are soft enough, include the ground coconut paste and salt. Combine everything well and let it boil for a while.
Finally add the whisked yogurt and stir. As the curry starts boiling, switch off the flame.
Heat a seasoning pan add ghee, cumin, fenugreek and curry leaves in order. As the fenugreek seeds turn little brown, transfer it to yogurt curry.
Very comforting chayote yogurt curry is ready to serve.
