Soak almonds in enough water for about 2 to 3 hours. Peel the skin off and soak saffron strands in a teaspoon of milk. Keep this ready before you start.
Method
Take the peeled almonds in a mixer and grind them with little milk to fine puree.
Bring the milk to boil, as it boils add the almond puree and sugar. Stir well and continue boiling for a minute. Then switch off.
Finally add saffron soaked milk, cardamom powder and serve hot or chilled. Either way it tastes awesome.
Notes
You can top the milk with chopped almonds and pistachios if you like bites while sipping.
Adjust sugar as per your taste buds.
Saffron is optional that gives nice color if added. You can skip it too.
