Rinse the yellow lentils using enough water and soak it for around half an hour.
Method
After soaking the lentils would have turned soft. Drain the water and keep aside. Wash and grate the carrot using a fine grater.
Finely chop coriander leaves, curry leaves and ginger. In a wide bowl add grated carrot, lentils, coriander, curry leaves, ginger, salt. Give a nice mix. Finally squeeze lemon juice and stir.
Healthy carrot lentil salad is ready to serve on the occasion of Rama Navami.
Notes
Adding salt just before serving is best practice. Otherwise it will ooze out water.
You can include finely chopped green chillies too. I haven't added as kids don't chilly spice.
You can replace yellow lentils by split chickpeas also.
Grated raw mango can replace lemon juice, which tastes even better.
