Cooking a traditional Udupi meal at my home on weekend involves rice, rasam, stir fry, salad and occasional simple kheer just like Dates kheer. My family enjoys this wholesome meal on lazy weekends. Weekends are lazy for each single member in the family but only exception is housewife or home maker. Home makers hands are completely full on these days in making special dishes for breakfast, lunch and a salivating snack. So on such hectic schedule days, few recipes come to my rescue that not only take few minutes to cook but also taste delicious. One such recipe is cabbage stir fry which is very simple and straight forward side dish with rice-rasm or chapati.
I make cabbage stir fry using minimum ingredients that also includes most beneficial spice like turmeric that is full of anti oxidants. Retaining the crunchiness of cabbage I have added cumin seeds flavor also to the stir fry. Red chilly gives the spicy note and jaggery mild sweetness. Check this version of cabbage stir fry when you have very less time to spend in kitchen.
